A studio you would not expect in Shawinigan
The DigiHub occupies the former Ursuline convent in downtown Shawinigan. Around a corner you find Studio Nomad TV: green screen, full lighting grid, control room, sound booth. The kind of setup you usually associate with Montreal, thirty minutes from home.
Two ways of working with video
Nomad TV works in a controlled studio: stable set, lighting tuned to the millimeter, multiple cameras. We mostly work on location, in our clients’ shops and warehouses, with gear that travels. Two different crafts rather than two competitors, and that is mostly what we talked about.
What it changes for a small business
If your project needs a neutral background, an interview with flawless sound or a training clip, the studio is the right call. If you want to show your team at work, your workshop, your products in context, the camera has to come to you. The real question is never which gear, but what the video has to accomplish.
Why we visit others
We regularly meet other creators in the region. It keeps us out of our own habits, and it means we can refer a client elsewhere when we are not the right ones for the job. A region where studios know each other is a region where businesses find what they need faster.
